Software Engineer, Passport & Commerce, iOS

Overview

Build iOS account and commerce experiences for Airbnb guests and hosts. Own well-scoped features from technical design through launch while collaborating across product, design, backend, Android, and web teams.

What you'll do

• Design and build iOS features using declarative UI and unidirectional state architecture.
• Partner with product and design to deliver polished, accessible iOS experiences.
• Collaborate with backend, Android, and web engineers to maintain cross-platform consistency.
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code and design reviews.
• Troubleshoot mobile app bugs, performance issues, and reliability problems.
• Contribute to shared iOS patterns and best practices.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of professional iOS engineering experience.
• Experience shipping features in a large-scale production consumer app.
• Proficiency in Swift and modern iOS architecture.
• Experience with declarative UI, unidirectional state management, and dependency injection.
• Experience integrating APIs with backend and other platform engineers.
• Ability to deliver features from technical design through launch and iteration.
• Understanding of mobile performance, accessibility, and release/CI practices.

Details

• Remote eligible in the United States, subject to state eligibility.
• Occasional office work or offsite attendance may be required.
• Pay range: $162,000–$186,000 USD per year.
