Overview

Software Engineer, Platform to design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and services for Speechify’s text-to-speech and related platform capabilities.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including a public TTS API.
• Maintain internal APIs for Payment, Subscription, Auth, and Consumption Tracking.
• Oversee the backend API landscape to enhance performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise customization and integrations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.

What you'll need

• Proven backend development experience using TS/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Ability to ideate and implement efficiently while prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Proficiency deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes.
