Software Engineer - SDET

Overview

Software Engineer role focused on test automation (SDET) for payment technology products at Global Payments, based in Pune, India.

What you'll do

• Own automation testing and build scalable, reliable automated test suites.
• Build scalable UI and regression test suites and create end-to-end UI tests using Playwright.
• Test RESTful or GraphQL APIs using modern tools such as Postman or similar.
• Execute test suites within cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues and isolate bugs and root causes quickly.
• Partner closely with developers and product managers as part of an Agile team.

What you'll need

• Proven experience with modern test automation tools and methodologies.
• Strong expertise in Playwright for building UI and regression test suites.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and tools such as Postman or similar.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
• Experience testing applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Basic knowledge of Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot complex software issues.
• Hands-on experience building scalable and reliable automated test suites.
• Understanding of testing RESTful or GraphQL APIs using modern tools.
• Sharp troubleshooting skills to isolate bugs and root causes quickly.
• A team-first attitude, ready to partner closely with developers and product managers.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI-driven testing tools or prompt engineering for QA.
• Exposure to AI-driven testing tools, code assistants, or prompt engineering.
