Software Engineering Manager - Java Full Stack - Open Banking

Overview

Software Engineering Manager to lead global engineering teams for API-first acquisition and Open Banking platform capabilities, with strong hands-on architectural and delivery leadership.

What you'll do

• Lead and scale a global engineering organization and build/expand the India team for acquisition and Open Banking platforms.
• Own design and evolution of API-first, event-driven platforms for digital acquisition and real-time underwriting.
• Drive product/platform roadmap delivery with accountability for business outcomes, quality, and operational stability.
• Provide architectural governance, ensuring scalable, resilient, maintainable, and testable designs.
• Partner with product/business/risk/architecture leaders to define and deliver acquisition and underwriting capabilities.
• Define resiliency standards for mission-critical flows and lead incident management and root-cause analysis.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience designing and delivering modern, distributed software systems.
• 5+ years of experience leading high-performing engineering teams, including globally distributed/offshore teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on leadership in designing and delivering distributed, scalable platforms.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot for microservices/APIs and front-end components.
• Ability to architect event-driven integration patterns and RESTful APIs.
• Strong analytical, planning, leadership, and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
