Software Engineering PMTS

Overview

Serve as a Principal Engineer (PMTS) leading the Monitoring Cloud Events team in Hyderabad, India. Build and lead systems that handle large amounts of Salesforce cloud data, guide the team, build software, and own services from start to finish.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain an Observability stack using in-house, open source and cloud managed services.
• Run data pipelines (ETL) and use big data tools.
• Check system health and fix problems quickly so services stay online.
• Teach and mentor other engineers to help them grow and do their best work.
• Talk to partners and customers all over the world to make sure they get what they need.
• Make the cloud faster, safer, and easier to use for millions of people.
• Own the services created by the team from start to finish.

What you'll need

• Deep experience building software and leading engineering teams.
• Knowledge of how to move, store, and work with very large amounts of data.
• High skill in building ETL data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with open-source tools like Kafka, Flink, and Apache Druid.
• Ability to mentor other engineers in a kind and helpful way.
• Strong service ownership, including deep care for keeping systems online and running smoothly.

Nice to have

• Experience working on an Observability stack, including tools that monitor system health and logs.
• Experience working with global teams across different countries and time zones.
• Enjoyment of talking directly to customers to understand and solve their problems.
