Software Engineering Technical Specialist – Workday Integrations

Overview

Design, develop, deploy, and support Workday integrations connecting HR and enterprise systems. The role focuses on secure, reliable integration solutions across employee lifecycle processes.

What you'll do

• Design and develop Workday integrations across HR and enterprise systems.
• Build and maintain integrations with payroll, benefits, IAM, recruiting, learning, and third-party platforms.
• Gather requirements with HR, payroll, security, IT teams, and vendors.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and resolve production incidents.
• Support Workday releases, regulatory changes, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Maintain technical documentation, testing artifacts, and support procedures.
• Improve integration reliability, monitoring, automation, and operational efficiency.

What you'll need

• 7–8 years of relevant experience supporting, developing, and maintaining enterprise integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIBs, APIs, or Workday Web Services.
• Understanding of Hire-to-Retire processes, including worker lifecycle, payroll, benefits, and compensation flows.
• Experience integrating Workday or SaaS applications with downstream systems.
• Working knowledge of XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, and file-based integrations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Learning, Time Tracking, or Absence integrations.
• Experience with global or multi-country HRIS integrations.
• Workday Integration Certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience with SaaS vendors, external integration partners, or enterprise HR technology projects.
