Software Engineer – VPN & PKI, Network Security

Overview

Software Engineer focused on VPN & PKI within network security, working on parts of systems software and network-related tooling.

What you'll do

• Design enhancements, updates, and programming changes for systems software subsystems.
• Analyze designs to determine required coding, programming, and integration activities.
• Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portions.
• Identify and debug issues, creating solutions for code and integration into architecture.
• Lead a project team to deliver reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and outsourced partners on design status, progress, and issue resolution.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members.

What you'll need

• Hands-on experience in C/C++ programming and software development.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, particularly TCP/IP, including routing and network protocols.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (mastery in English and local language).
• Experience designing and developing software systems for Linux/Unix-based operating systems.
• Experience with software systems testing methodologies, including writing/executing test plans and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with VPN technologies (IPsec and SSL/TLS) and PKI.

Details

• Hybrid role with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
