Overview
Software Production Engineer for EBANX’s Singapore Engineering Hub, responsible for production reliability across APAC and helping define a new engineering hub setup from day one.
What you'll do
- Own production reliability for APAC services through monitoring, alert triage, and incident response coordination.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across the stack, including integrations with PSPs, acquirers, and local payment rails.
- Support onboarding, go-live, and stabilization of new payment integrations and APAC market expansions to production readiness.
- Implement hotfixes for critical production issues and run root cause analyses to prevent recurrence.
- Improve observability coverage by building and tuning dashboards, alerts, and runbooks.
- Contribute to hub operational foundations including incident response playbooks, on-call processes, and deployment standards.
- Reduce systemic risk via code reviews, post-mortems, and proactive reliability improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams in Brazil for knowledge transfer and aligned practices across time zones.
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience in production engineering, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems in high-availability, high-throughput environments.
- Solid observability experience across monitoring, alerting, log analysis, and tracing.
- Practical cloud infrastructure experience, with AWS preferred.
- Experience working in CI/CD-driven environments focused on deployment reliability and automation.
- Ability and inclination to use AI tools for operational work such as code reviews, incident investigation, or alerting.
Nice to have
- Background in fintech, payments, or financial services infrastructure.
- Experience applying AI beyond productivity, including anomaly detection, automated runbooks, or intelligent alert correlation.
- Programming experience in Java, Elixir, or PHP for automation, tooling, or operational scripts.
