Overview

Lead the test and automation charter for Cisco's Next Generation Firepower Threat Defence (FTD) team in India, owning test strategy for next-generation firewall technologies and driving an AI-accelerated SDLC model.

What you'll do

• Lead the test and automation charter for new and existing product functionality, with deep focus on feature interaction, P&S, system and solution testing, and customer deployment.
• Accelerate product development test cycle velocity multi-fold by fully embracing AI and Spec Driven Development model.
• Focus on deep internal aspects of the feature and its integration with the OS.
• Learn new features, technologies and platforms in a relatively short amount of time.
• Automate tests using FTL and integrate them into regression.
• Work closely with customer support to provide timely resolution of problems.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience in Networking/Security domain development and testing, proven as a leader and domain expert.
• Proficient in TCP/IP networking, routing protocols, access control policies, NAT, Carrier grade NAT, SDWAN, VPN, ZTNA, network management, IPv6.
• Expertise on network security (L3-L7 inspection, intrusion prevention / intrusion detection, IPSEC and SSL / TLS).
• Experience and knowledge on routing and switching (OSPF / BGP / EIGRP / VLAN / STP / DHCP / multicast).
• Should have worked in virtual technologies (ESXi, KVM, AWS, Azure, OCI).
• Hands on experience with legitimate and malware application traffic generator tools, Linux, Windows, Packet tracer, Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Strong automation background on Python, Java etc.
• Should have experience in UI and API based test automation.
• Expertise in AI, AI tools and AI based SDLC.

Nice to have

• Familiar with Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Juniper, Fortinet products.
• Experience in DevOps, continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
