Solution Test Engineer with 2-4 years experience - Bangalore

Overview

Validate and integrate Cisco Enterprise networking solutions deployed by top-tier customers, testing software on networking equipment that forms part of a controller-based solution.

What you'll do

• Validate and integrate Cisco Enterprise solutions deployed by top-tier customers.
• Test software for networking products in the controller-based solution.
• Drive controller-based solutions.
• Develop tools and methodology to optimize daily activities.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• 2-4 years of related experience in networking, Ethernet switching technology and automation.
• Experience in 2 or more of the following areas: Layer 2 switching and routing protocols including OSPF, BGP, RIP and IS-IS, and first-hop redundancy protocols such as HSRP and VRRP.
• Experience in 2 or more of the following areas: wireless fundamentals, including 802.11 Wi-Fi standards, 2.4/5/6 GHz bands, channels and channel width, basic RF concepts (signal strength, SNR, interference), access point and controller architecture, Wi-Fi security (WPA2/WPA3 and 802.1X), client roaming, and basic wireless troubleshooting.
• Experience in 2 or more of the following areas: encapsulation protocols such as MPLS / MPLS-TE, GRE, LISP, EoMPLS, VPLS, MGRE, VXLAN, Bonjour; MACsec, CTS, SGACL, IPSEC, First Hop Security, ACL Policies, Network Data Analytics, Dot1X.
• Strong automation skills using Python or other object-oriented languages.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based controller and cloud technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux environments, with knowledge of virtualization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, influential, decision-making, leadership, team and people skills.
• Good knowledge of and exposure to network protocols, and understanding of customer profiles and solutions.

Nice to have

• Cisco networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, etc.
