Solutions Architect - Azure

Overview

Build, migrate and onboard customer environments into Microsoft Azure as part of structured delivery projects, implementing approved designs with Solution Architects, Project Managers and Security teams.

What you'll do

• Implement Azure landing zones and subscription structures as per approved architecture.
• Deploy core Azure services: Virtual Machines, VNets, Subnets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Storage Accounts.
• Configure availability, backup, DR, and security baselines.
• Execute workload onboarding and cutover activities during migration projects.
• Perform build, test, and production go-live activities.
• Prepare implementation guides, build documents, and handover packs.
• Participate in design walkthroughs and technical workshops with customers.
• Perform on-prem to Azure and cloud-to-cloud migrations.
• Assist with discovery and assessment phases using Azure Migrate.
• Execute replication and cutover activities using ASR and Data Box.
• Support post-migration stabilisation and optimisation phases.
• Track technical actions for migration waves and project milestones.
• Support identity integration between on-prem AD and Azure AD / Entra ID.
• Perform user/group sync checks and RBAC configuration.
• Assist with MFA and conditional access rollout as part of projects.
• Implement builds using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform templates to deploy VNets, AKS clusters, and SQL databases.
• Support Azure DevOps pipelines for infrastructure deployment.
• Use PowerShell / Azure CLI for automation during migrations and builds.
• Harden the environment by Zero Trust principles.
• Configure Microsoft Entra ID (IAM) and enforce Azure Policies.
• Build infrastructure for Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search.
• Assist in operational readiness activities before transition to support teams.
• Create SOPs and runbooks for steady-state environments.
• Participate in knowledge-transfer sessions with managed services teams.
• Ensure governance, tagging, and security standards are implemented before handover.

What you'll need

• 3–5 years in cloud or infrastructure delivery roles.
• Strong hands-on Azure implementation experience.
• Proven involvement in migration or transformation projects.
• Working knowledge of Azure Compute, Storage, Networking.
• Working knowledge of Azure AD / RBAC / Hybrid Identity basics.
• Windows and Linux administration experience.
• Basic automation/scripting exposure.
• Experience working in professional services / project-based delivery environments.
• Basic Active Directory knowledge: OUs, DNS, Group Policy basics.
• Delivery-oriented mindset with strong documentation skills.
• Comfortable working with project plans and milestones.
• Customer-facing experience during implementations.
• Ability to follow architecture designs and escalate risks early.
• Required certification: AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate).
• Required certification: AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer).
• Required certification: AZ-700 (Network Engineer).

Nice to have

• Exposure to Well-Architected Framework and governance models.
• Optional certification: AZ-400 (Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
• Optional certification: AZ-305 (Azure Solution Architect).

Details

• Location: Bengaluru, India.
• Primarily a project delivery and implementation role, with limited post-go-live stabilisation support.
• Works in collaboration with the Regional Service Centre and Azure Delivery teams.
