Solutions Architect - Presales (Palo Alto)

Overview

Serve as a Palo Alto Networks pre-sales engineer and product technical specialist supporting partners, system integrators, and enterprise customers. Provide solution design, demonstrations, proof-of-concept deployments, and technical enablement across the Palo Alto Networks security portfolio.

What you'll do

• Gather requirements and support security assessments.
• Design security solutions and prepare technical presentations.
• Conduct product demonstrations and validate proof-of-concept deployments.
• Prepare RFP/RFI responses, bills of materials, licensing guidance, and subscription sizing.
• Deliver partner workshops, hands-on labs, and enablement sessions.
• Build demo environments, lab guides, and technical documentation.
• Engage with partners and enterprise customers throughout the sales lifecycle.

What you'll need

• 3–5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, network security consulting, or cybersecurity engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks solutions.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls, network security, cloud security, and endpoint security.
• Knowledge of Palo Alto Networks firewalls, Panorama, security policies, NAT, VPN, App-ID, User-ID, Content-ID, WildFire, DNS Security, and threat prevention.
• Understanding of SASE, Zero Trust, SD-WAN, SOC operations, and XDR concepts.
• Excellent presentation, communication, customer engagement, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in a distribution or channel-driven environment.

Nice to have

• Palo Alto Networks certifications such as PCNSE, PCNSA, PSE, or Cortex certifications.
• Knowledge of container security.
• Experience with a distributor, system integrator, or value-added reseller.
