Overview
Specialist - Data Engineer role focused on building governed, reusable Snowflake data products and AI capabilities for Commercial Operations.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end data lifecycle activities including acquisition, ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and monitoring.
- Build complex datasets that satisfy functional/non-functional requirements and enterprise data protection standards.
- Improve legacy ETL patterns, reduce manual deployment steps, optimize Snowflake workloads, and modernize data engineering practices.
- Engineer and optimize Snowflake and Azure solutions for performance, high availability, access control, and cost-aware design.
- Apply CI/CD and DevSecOps/DataOps practices such as automated deployment, rollback planning, and secrets management.
- Embed data quality and observability into pipelines by analyzing root causes and implementing permanent fixes.
What you'll need
- 12-16 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, ELT/ETL development, and cloud data platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Advanced experience with data storage/processing technologies across lake/warehouse, time series, and graph.
- Expert ability with batch and on-demand extract/transform/load and data integration using APIs and SQL.
- Strong SQL proficiency including performance tuning, optimization, indexing, partitioning, and production troubleshooting.
- Advanced programming ability in Python, Scala, SQL, and PL-SQL for data pipelines.
- Hands-on Snowflake and Azure experience including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage.
