Senior Database Reliability Engineer

Overview

Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role based in India with team operations primarily in the United States. You’ll design, operate, and improve Sezzle’s infrastructure reliability and scaling, including observability, SLAs/alerts, and AI enablement.

What you'll do

• Architect, upgrade, design, and build scalable infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes and AWS.
• Drive reliability, recoverability, and scalability by leading the infrastructure roadmap.
• Perform capacity planning, benchmarking, and stress testing to find bottlenecks.
• Define, maintain, and enforce SLAs and alerts across infrastructure.
• Improve anomaly detection signal and alerting behavior.
• Support AI enablement efforts for infrastructure reliability and developer productivity.
• Establish engineering best practices for observability, security, and CI/CD.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of professional software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Recent production deployments or infrastructure changes within the past 30 days.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Expertise with SQL-based RDBMS including MySQL and/or PostgreSQL and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or New Relic.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems design patterns.
• Ability to use Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
