Overview
The Specialist – Product Development will lead both people and technical efforts to develop, qualify, and commercialize advanced materials and technology solutions for electronics applications.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of Product Development Engineers, Scientists, and technical professionals.
- Personally lead and contribute to complex product and technology development and technical problem-solving.
- Contribute hands-on to design, formulation, testing, troubleshooting, scale-up, and commercialization of materials for electronic components.
- Lead technical activities from concept through laboratory validation, qualification, and commercialization.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Applications Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Marketing, and Commercial to support development and scale-up.
- Drive technical strategies, roadmaps, innovation, and support invention disclosures and patent development.
- Build and improve laboratory capabilities, including infrastructure, equipment, and analytical/testing approaches.
What you'll need
- 10–15 years of progressive R&D and/or product/materials/technology development experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing technical teams, including performance management and mentoring.
- Proven experience leading complex product/technology development programs from concept through commercialization.
- Strong hands-on technical experience in one or more listed areas (e.g., adhesives/tapes, coatings/films, conductive/dielectric materials, thermal management, semiconductor/electronics assembly materials, advanced functional materials).
- Experience with laboratory-scale development through pilot production, scale-up, manufacturing validation, and technology transfer.
- Strong expertise in material formulation, product development, characterization, and performance evaluation.
- A Master’s degree or higher in one of the listed technical disciplines (Ph.D. is an added advantage).

- Location: Bangalore, India (ATS: “IN, Bangalore Kar”).
- Travel: domestically and occasionally internationally, approximately 10–20%.
