Specialist, Product Safety

Overview

Specialist, Product Safety will provide end-to-end support for global product safety and hazard communication by creating and maintaining safety documentation, performing hazard classification, and supporting regulatory submissions and product safety data management.

What you'll do

• Author, update, publish, and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and label content across multiple global markets.
• Perform hazard classification of substances and mixtures using applicable hazard communication frameworks.
• Support regulatory notifications and the maintenance of product safety dossiers where applicable.
• Collect, validate, and maintain product information needed for compliant documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal partners to resolve data gaps, inconsistencies, or quality issues.
• Use product stewardship/SDS authoring systems to manage records and support traceability.
• Participate in quality activities like peer reviews and consistency/document checks.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
• Typically 8+ years’ experience in product safety, hazard communication, SDS authoring, regulatory compliance and/or product data management.
• Experience working with SDS authoring or product stewardship systems for regulated documentation.
• Ability to author and maintain SDS and labels.
• Working knowledge of global product safety and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in hazard classification and application of hazard communication regulations.
