Overview
Safeguards Enforcement Analyst on the user well-being team, building and executing enforcement workflows to keep products safe, initially focused on age.
What you'll do
- Design and architect automated enforcement systems and scalable review workflows.
- Partner with Engineering and Data Science to optimize detection models for policy violations and enforcement systems.
- Review flagged content to drive enforcement actions and policy improvements.
- Enforce usage policies by detecting and mitigating potential harmful use of AI systems.
- Coordinate with Legal, Public Policy, and Privacy stakeholders on proportionate, privacy-preserving age assurance.
- Provide Safeguards policy feedback based on real enforcement scenarios.
- Operate layered age assurance enforcement including self-declaration, behavioral signals, verification, and ban appeals.
What you'll need
- Experience in trust and safety, online child safety, age assurance, privacy, product policy, or a related field.
- Subject matter expertise in one or more areas such as age assurance/verification, child online safety, privacy-preserving verification, or content classification for young people.
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Policy partners.
- Experience navigating evolving regulatory landscapes and enforcement best practices related to age assurance and related content categories.
- A thoughtful perspective on privacy/safety tradeoffs in age verification and when less invasive approaches are appropriate.
- Strong written communication skills for briefs and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort using data (SQL or similar tools) to measure performance and inform decisions.
Details
- On-call responsibility across the Policy and Enforcement teams.
- May be exposed to explicit content spanning sexual, violent, or psychologically disturbing topics.
- Annual compensation range: $245,000–$285,000 USD.
- Location-based hybrid: expected to be in one of the offices at least 25% of the time.
- Visa sponsorship is available, but not guaranteed for every role/candidate.
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/training/experience.
