Overview

Senior Data Engineer role in Genpact's Data Engineering practice, building and running enterprise data pipelines on Databricks and Azure.

What you'll need

• Mandatory hands-on experience in Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake)
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data engineering solutions
• Hands-on experience with Azure/AWS/GCP, preferably Azure, and orchestration tools (ADF/Airflow)
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and performance optimization
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise data solutions
• Qualifications: Bachelors in Business Analytics, Computer Science, or Statistics, or Masters in Data Science
• Required skills: Databricks Platform, PySpark
• Language: English, Advanced - C1

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Delta Live Tables, Unity Catalog, and Structured Streaming
• Certification: Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional (Databricks Academy)
