Sr. Data Engineer

Overview

Sr. Data Engineers collaborate with stakeholders to identify and clarify requirements for data-driven features and products, create and document technical designs, and present technical solutions to peers.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with product teams, business partners, and cybersecurity to identify and clarify requirements for data-driven features and products.
• Independently understand the data ecosystem, security, privacy, and retention requirements necessary to support business and product features.
• Create and document technical designs for components, identifying systems, architectures, tools, and storage needs.
• Present technical solutions and capabilities to peers.
• Stay current with market trends and industry dynamics, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and ensure the safety and security of product components.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor peers.
• Address client requests requiring technical knowledge.

What you'll need

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).
• Expertise with highly distributed, scalable, concurrent and low latency systems working with one or more of the following database technologies: DB2, MS SQL, MySQL or NoSQL.
• Digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Nice to have

• Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory etc.
• Experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools like PowerBI and Tableau.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of MSBI technologies (SSIS, SSAS, SQL Servers).
• Knowledge of working in Gen AI technologies and cloud solutions like MS Azure, AWS, Google Cloud.

• Location: Bengaluru, India.
• Work mode: at least 3 days in office, with expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager.
