Sr. Engineer - Platform Data Engineer (Remote)

Overview

Senior Platform Data Engineer responsible for architecting, deploying, and operating the infrastructure and platform services supporting an analytics ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Deploy and administer Airflow and Superset in production.
• Manage Terraform infrastructure-as-code for data platform components.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform services and data workflows.
• Implement platform security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Develop data models with DBT and catalog assets in OpenMetadata.
• Write Python for platform automation and data processing.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of combined infrastructure and data engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Advanced Python programming with 5+ years of experience.
• Expertise deploying and administering Apache Airflow.
• Experience with Superset or similar BI platforms.
• Cloud expertise in AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.
• Experience with IaC, Kubernetes or Docker, DBT, OpenMetadata, SQL, and data modeling.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Cybersecurity data experience.
• Open-source contributions.
• Knowledge of machine learning pipelines.

Details

• Remote role in the United States.
• Base salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year.
• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance.
• Periodic additional background and fingerprint checks are required.
