Overview
Sr. Frontend Engineer for Roundel, Target’s ad campaign management platform for external advertisers. You will lead frontend architecture, implementation, and quality efforts for scalable, secure, and performant user experiences.
What you'll do
- Apply and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies in your specialized domain.
- Evaluate new technologies considering viability, maintainability, and cost of ownership.
- Initiate and execute research and proof-of-concept activities for new technologies.
- Lead frontend design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership of services.
- Conduct code review, design review, testing, and debugging activities at the application level.
- Lead architecture discussions using process flows and system diagrams to drive design decisions.
What you'll need
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and React.
- Deep knowledge of browser behavior, rendering, performance, and accessibility.
- Ability to architect and deliver scalable, maintainable, testable, performant, and secure frontend solutions.
Nice to have
- Experience improving developer experience and automating frontend development workflows.
- Familiarity with backend technologies such as Kotlin.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tooling to enhance engineering productivity.

- Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement with both onsite at Target HQ MN and virtual work.
