Sr Manager, Enterprise Data Engineering

Overview

Lead the India-based data and machine learning engineering organization, managing engineers who build enterprise data pipelines, lakehouse architectures, MLOps platforms, and AI solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture for scalable data pipelines, lakehouse infrastructure, and ML development.
• Oversee production deployment, serving, scaling, monitoring, and alerting for ML models.
• Coach and mentor data and ML engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
• Translate business and analytical needs into production-grade technical workflows.
• Establish standards for data freshness, pipeline resilience, CI/CD, and data governance.
• Define sprint goals and prioritize the team roadmap.
• Track data quality, lineage, SLA compliance, and observability metrics.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of experience in data engineering and MLOps.
• 7+ years managing data or machine learning engineering teams.
• Fluency in modern data platforms, especially GCP.
• Experience with distributed computing and orchestration.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Extensive machine learning lifecycle and MLOps experience.

Nice to have

• Player-coach experience, including code reviews and ML architecture discussions.
• Experience delivering high-throughput, enterprise-scale data and AI solutions.
• Experience collaborating across global time zones.

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
• Work from the office full time for most teams.
