Sr. Software Development Engineer

Overview

Sr. Software Development Engineer to help build and operate high-scale systems for a cloud security platform. This is a hybrid engineering role focused on architecture, engineering best practices, and reliability/performance improvements.

What you'll do

• Explain how to build and operate high-scale systems.
• Provide service and product-wide architectural guidance and drive technical decisions.
• Establish and enforce best practices for coding, testing, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive cross-team collaboration for performance optimization and reliability improvements.
• Lead initiatives to adopt new technologies/tools to accelerate feature velocity.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of Java coding in highly distributed, enterprise-scale environments.
• Experience with Kafka, Druid, and ElasticSearch.
• Experience being on-call, handling cloud incidents, and writing RCAs.
• Working knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure services.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated curiosity and active exploration of AI tools, including integrating new technologies into daily workflows.
