Sr Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer role on the Admin platform, delivering integration services for financial institutions in a hybrid setting.

What you'll do

• Take full ownership of requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, and deployment of integration services.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery life cycle, including production readiness, monitoring, and support.
• Ensure features and services meet performance, reliability, and security expectations.
• Design and develop Admin platform features using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and ensure solutions follow best practices for scalability and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver seamless, secure experiences.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards for financial services.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and drive best practices in secure identity management.

What you'll need

• 10+ years in the technology industry, with software engineering experience and strong expertise in Java, Spring and Spring Boot, and API design.
• 3+ years in technical leadership, working with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, etc.).
• Experience designing and implementing microservice architecture.
• Deep experience designing scalable, distributed systems with high availability and performance.
• Experience articulating NFRs and architecting solutions to meet them in conjunction with business/product and engineering teams.
• Extensive Java (JDK 17+), Spring and Spring Boot.
• Reactive programming with Reactor/WebFlux.
• API design with REST/HTTP on OpenAPI 3.x.
• API security with OAuth 2.0.
• Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automated testing with JUnit and Mockito.
• Cloud: GCP (GKE, IAM, observability).
• Hands-on experience with Java EE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, and Reactor/WebFlux.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with Git, IntelliJ IDEA, and Jira.
• Hands-on experience with GCP and AWS cloud platforms.

Nice to have

• Domain-specific language design.
• JavaScript/TypeScript/React for UI.
• Redis.
• Cassandra.
• AI-assisted development (Cursor or VS Code with Copilot).
• Git/GitHub source control.
• Maven.
• Familiarity with Pub/Sub and Dataflow concepts.
• Exposure to front-end technologies such as React or mobile/native development.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• AWS/Azure experience.
