Sr. Software Engineer, Customer Experience Engineering

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Customer Experience Engineering, building intelligent data applications and product features that reduce friction for Snowflake customers and help resolve customer issues.

What you'll do

• Lead and drive projects across the stack, including Java and Python services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product management and design.
• Deliver features with close coordination across partner teams.
• Pinpoint problems, instrument relevant components, and implement solutions.
• Drive team planning as a contributor to the product vision.
• Mentor and coach junior team members.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• B.S. or M.S. degree in CS, MIS, or an equivalent discipline.
• Deep understanding of modern application design architecture, API design patterns, performance, and scale.
• Expertise in at least one of: Python, Java, Scala, or GoLang.
• Software engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, especially in a cloud environment.
• Technical leadership experience such as being an architect or tech lead for high-impact projects.
• Great communication skills and interest in working with diverse peers and external developers.

• Bonus for expertise in more than one of: Python, Java, Scala, or GoLang.
