Overview
Join Visa's Corporate Reliability Engineering team as a hands-on Senior Software Engineer building secure AI, agentic automation, API and reliability solutions across enterprise Windows, Linux/Unix, Oracle Database and Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), and Network environments.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver AI/ML applications, LLM-enabled solutions, RAG, agentic workflows, automation frameworks, APIs, integrations, and reusable engineering components.
- Build intelligent capabilities for incident triage, knowledge retrieval, service-health analysis, root-cause investigation, remediation recommendations, and approved automated execution.
- Automate workflows across Windows, Linux/Unix, Oracle Database/EBS, and Network operations through scripting, orchestration, event-driven patterns, and secure API integrations.
- Integrate with approved enterprise ticketing, monitoring, CMDB, knowledge, database, collaboration, source-control, and deployment platforms.
- Engineer for reliability through testing, exception handling, rollback, observability, telemetry, runbooks, support models, operational handoff, and measurable service outcomes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, architecture, operations, and product teams, and communicate technical decisions, risks, controls, and outcomes clearly.
- Work as an embedded engineering partner with Core Infrastructure, Oracle Database, Network, Security, and Reliability Engineering teams to deliver practical, supportable solutions.
- Share knowledge, document solutions, mentor peers, and support collective problem-solving within a respectful and inclusive engineering culture.
- Follow Visa policies, Key Controls, Technical and Design Security Requirements, approved architecture standards, and the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC) throughout design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Apply secure coding and participate in code review, security assessment, dependency and open-source review, vulnerability remediation, security testing, and required release approvals before production promotion.
- Protect Visa information according to its classification, enforce least-privilege access, protect credentials and secrets, and maintain traceability through authenticated access, change records, version control, event logging, monitoring, and evidence retention.
- Apply Visa AI governance requirements across the lifecycle, including ownership, risk assessment, data-use review, validation, ongoing monitoring, documented limitations, escalation paths, and controlled retirement or material change.
- Design human oversight and approval gates appropriate to risk, with automated actions kept within approved permissions and guardrails, safe failure handling, rollback, and manual intervention paths.
- Validate generative and agentic AI solutions for quality, reliability, security, privacy, information integrity, and operational risk, documenting evaluation methods, acceptance criteria, evidence, limitations, and monitoring.
- Escalate security incidents, privacy concerns, control gaps, model risks, unexpected AI behavior, and policy exceptions through approved Visa processes.
