Sr System Validation Engineer

Overview

Senior QA role focused on validating next-generation Managed Power Distribution Units (PDUs) used in enterprise IT, AV, and edge computing. You will validate embedded Linux firmware, networking services, embedded web apps, REST APIs, telemetry/configuration, and hardware/software integration, including remote management.

What you'll do

• Validate embedded Linux firmware and middleware features across the product lifecycle.
• Verify firmware behavior across multiple hardware revisions and regression-test changes.
• Test upgrade/downgrade flows and configuration persistence across reboot and power cycles.
• Execute functional tests for outlet control, scheduling, user/sensor management, and monitoring.
• Validate embedded Linux components including boot sequence, system services, and resource utilization.
• Test networking protocols and services, including Ethernet connectivity, DHCP/DNS/NTP, HTTPS/SSH, SNMP, and REST APIs.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of embedded software validation experience.
• Strong Linux experience and experience testing Embedded Linux products.
• Strong networking knowledge.
• Experience with REST API validation.
• Experience with Python automation.
• Experience using Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
