Overview
Lead the design and development of scalable backend systems for cloud commerce, including pricing, billing, usage metering, and revenue-critical workflows.
What you'll do
- Design and build backend systems for pricing, billing, and usage metering.
- Develop event-driven architectures for high-volume real-time data.
- Build real-time customer usage and billing visibility systems.
- Design rate cards, pricing plans, discounts, and multi-currency transaction components.
- Support cloud-native commerce capabilities with product, infrastructure, and platform teams.
- Drive architecture decisions and engineering best practices.
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability in revenue-critical systems.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of backend engineering experience.
- Strong Java-based backend development skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Experience building event-driven and distributed systems.
- Experience scaling high-throughput systems handling large event volumes.
- Experience with AWS-managed databases such as Aurora or similar OLTP systems.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, real-time systems, and system design principles.
Nice to have
- Golang backend development experience.
- Deep AWS ecosystem expertise.
- Experience with cloud commerce, billing, pricing, or revenue systems.
- Experience with large-scale event processing and multi-tenant cloud platforms.
Details
- Location: Bengaluru.
- Hybrid work model with at least 3 days in the office per week and up to 2 days working from home, depending on role requirements.
