Staff Data Engineer

Overview

Staff Data Engineer role focused on designing and governing scalable, secure data platforms for enterprise analytics, real-time data, and AI use cases.

What you'll do

• Translate customers’ business objectives into end-to-end, data-centric solutions.
• Define, design, and execute data engineering and ETL strategies.
• Design and develop secure, scalable data pipelines, platforms, and data products with test coverage.
• Design technical solutions and data consumption patterns for complex requirements.
• Deliver across the full agile lifecycle from ideation and planning to implementation.
• Partner with business, operations, infrastructure, product, and engineering teams for scalability, reliability, and compliance.
• Participate in On-Call rosters from time to time to resolve critical issues.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in analytics and data warehousing design or development.
• Experience building end-to-end solutions with Spark or Scala plus Apache Flink and Kafka for real-time and batch data.
• Experience designing and building reliable, scalable data pipelines on AWS cloud.
• ETL pipeline building experience with Spark or Scala plus knowledge of UNIX Shell script and Oracle SQL/PL-SQL.
• Strong Python/PySpark for data manipulation, API integration, and automation alongside Scala.
• Experience with Oracle SQL programming, SQL performance tuning, and relational model analysis.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
