Staff Data Engineer

Overview

Lead the architecture and evolution of scalable data ecosystems supporting customer acquisition, retention, engagement, personalization, marketing automation, and analytics. Guide technical decisions and engineering teams across the Customer Growth portfolio.

What you'll do

• Design and evolve reliable data architectures and framework-level solutions.
• Evaluate technologies and document technical trade-offs for data challenges.
• Define engineering, governance, security, and CI/CD standards.
• Collaborate with product, data science, engineering, and business teams.
• Research and prototype emerging data technologies and paradigms.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.

What you'll need

• 8+ years designing and implementing distributed data processing systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Apache Spark, Flink, Kafka, or Delta Lake/Iceberg.
• Expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud data warehouses.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java and expert-level SQL.
• Expertise in data modeling paradigms including Data Vault, Kimball, or Star Schema.
• Strong communication and influence-based technical leadership skills.
