Overview

Staff Data Scientist to develop and implement advanced fraud detection models for a fraud risk decisioning platform.

What you'll do

• Develop and implement fraud detection models using machine learning and statistical techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to design fraud detection systems and processes.
• Analyze large datasets to find patterns, trends, and anomalies of fraudulent behavior.
• Evaluate and continuously optimize existing fraud detection models and systems as tactics change.
• Apply new trends and advancements in fraud detection and machine learning to enhance capabilities.
• Communicate model performance and analysis results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure data privacy and security compliance in fraud detection and data analysis.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields focused on fraud prevention and/or anti-money laundering.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques for fraud detection.
• Experience working with large datasets using distributed systems like Apache Spark and Dask.
• Ability to handle data cleaning, data quality, transformation, and feature engineering at scale.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for actionable insights from complex data.
