Staff Engineer

Overview

Staff Engineer role focused on advanced prototyping, problem-solving, and software component development for medical devices.

What you'll do

• Conduct or design advanced prototyping and testing.
• Identify solutions for complex problems and evaluate them against component and sub-system requirements.
• Design software systems per requirements and defined architecture.
• Analyze and correct complex product design issues using independent judgment.
• Translate user needs into design inputs/specifications for advanced components and sub-systems.
• Develop and refine engineering documentation (requirements/design/architecture/bugs/test and Design History file).
• Coordinate across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science or related discipline.
• 4+ years of work experience.
• Proficiency with and ability to mentor others on industry standards for design requirements and test strategies.
• Experience with design controls and risk management per the Quality Management System.
• Ability to apply design principles, coding standards, and best practices in code reviews.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle processes.
