Staff Engineer - Electrical

Overview

Firmware development for power electronic converter modules and I/O interface modules, covering firmware design, development and testing.

What you'll do

• Design and develop firmware on power electronic converter modules.
• Debug on-board and in-system issues and provide resolution.
• Understand basic circuit schematics for good handshaking with electrical engineers.
• Compare datasheets and devices for standard microcontrollers.
• Understand communication protocols such as CAN, I2C and SPI.

What you'll need

• BE with power electronics focus.
• Minimum of 8-15 years of industrial or lab experience.
• Experience with C and Assembly programming languages.
• Experience with communication protocols CAN, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Modbus etc.
• Experience converting messages from CAN to Ethernet, CAN to Modbus and vice versa.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python.
• Knowledge of power supply, UPS systems, drives, SMRs.
• Knowledge of digital circuits, analog circuits, ADCs, DACs, op-amps, microprocessors, microcontrollers and DSPs etc.
