Staff Engineer - Post-Si Validation

Overview

Staff Engineer supporting post-silicon validation and bring-up for Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs, including validation software, regressions, debugging, and KPI measurement.

What you'll do

• Bring up SVE infrastructure, IST framework, and VI content for production enablement.
• Develop, port, and enhance validation software content.
• Own SoC regression execution, including power and performance corner cases.
• Execute SoC validation releases on bench in the lab.
• Support SLT teams with debugging and framework feature enablement.
• Use silicon debug hooks to measure power, performance, coverage, and other KPI metrics.
• Report issues and debug failures with relevant team members.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant ASIC experience, or a Master's degree and 3+ years, or a PhD and 2+ years.
• Knowledge of processor architecture, multicore or multiprocessor systems, SMP, MTE, and heterogeneous cores.
• Expertise in C for low-level programming and assembly language for a processor.
• Knowledge of operating systems, RTOS, Linux kernel internals, scheduling, locking, MMU, and paging.
• Experience with JTAG-based debuggers, compilers, and linkers.
• Exposure to software development life cycle practices.

Nice to have

• Exposure to emulation or pre-silicon environments.
• Experience with SoC architecture, silicon enablement, or silicon validation.
• Experience bringing up hardware-software solutions on FPGA, emulation platforms, or fresh SoC designs.
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex-A7/A8, x86, or PowerPC CPU and memory system architecture.
