Overview
Drive the development of next-generation Automotive Ethernet solutions by building and integrating reusable embedded software across multiple MCU platforms. Take end-to-end ownership of software components and contribute to ISO 26262-compliant development, platform bring-up, and system-level integration.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and integrate embedded software for Automotive Ethernet solutions across multiple software teams, MCU families, and platforms.
- Develop reusable software components and well-defined interfaces that support portability across hardware platforms and bare-metal or RTOS environments.
- Take ownership of assigned software components, from requirements and design through implementation, verification, documentation, and release.
- Collaborate with architecture, hardware, validation, and application teams to align interfaces, resolve dependencies, and address system-level integration issues.
- Contribute to ISO 26262-compliant software development, including software safety requirements, safety mechanisms, requirement traceability, and verification evidence.
- Perform code reviews, static analysis, unit testing, and integration testing in accordance with applicable coding standards and quality processes.
- Investigate complex hardware-software issues and support platform bring-up, customer issue resolution, and continuous improvement of development and test practices.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with relevant experience in automotive embedded software development.
- Strong proficiency in C.
- Hands-on experience with low-level drivers, MCU architectures, hardware abstraction, and bare-metal or RTOS environments.
- Experience developing portable software and integrating components across platforms and teams.
- Working knowledge of Ethernet fundamentals, switching, and embedded communication interfaces.
- Practical experience with ISO 26262 software development, including safety requirements, implementation of safety mechanisms, requirements traceability, and software verification.
- Familiarity with MISRA C, static analysis, unit testing, Git, build systems, and continuous integration.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills.
- Clear technical communication.
- Ability to independently own software components while collaborating effectively across teams.
Nice to have
- Exposure to PTP/TSN and Automotive Ethernet switches.
