Staff Engineer, Test Engineering

Overview

Senior test product development engineer in the Product & Test Engineering (PTE) team of ADI's Hearable Audio Solutions Business Unit in Bangalore, supporting mixed signal audio edge processors and battery management power products from DFT through silicon bring-up, characterization and high-volume production.

What you'll do

• Design innovative, reliable and efficient probe and test solutions with highly parallel multi-site test capability on mixed signal/digital ATE platforms (primarily Ultra-Flex, NI or 93K).
• Develop ATE software solutions as per specifications.
• Play a role in DFT/BIST definition and development through direct involvement with the Design Team early in New Product Development, to reduce FFC and improve testability.
• Execute test development phases of projects including silicon functionality, characterization, yield analysis, correlation and offshore production release.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Design, Bench Eval and PD, and with ADI global teams and off-shore subcons.

What you'll need

• Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• 7-8 years' hands-on experience in mixed signal or digital test.
• Knowledge of ATE software development and working knowledge of Teradyne Flex, NI and/or 93K ATE systems.
• Good analytical and statistical skills and knowledge of Perl/C++ programming.
• Experience in ATE highly parallel multi-site test digital hardware design and layout, with lead skills in understanding hardware development problems and limitations.
• Experience releasing multi-site test programs to offshore production test houses.
• Well versed with bench equipment such as oscilloscope, VI-meter, signal generator and analyzers.
• Capable of working with reliability engineers on product qualification.
• Proactive, able to work under own supervision, self-motivated and willing to accept responsibility.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.
