Staff GenAI Engineer

Overview

Staff GenAI Engineer providing technical leadership for the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven platforms and products in Mumbai.

What you'll do

• Lead architecture, design, and scalable backend development integrating ML and Generative AI models into production apps.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of GenAI solutions including LLM-based systems, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows.
• Design and implement agentic AI systems with tool calling, memory management, and orchestration.
• Collaborate with data scientists to train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy ML/AI models for reliability and performance at scale.
• Develop backend microservices and APIs for AI-driven applications and ensure production readiness (optimization, monitoring, cost control, security).
• Define cloud-native deployment strategies on AWS, Azure, and GCP and standardize container deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Lead triage and incident prioritization, mentor engineers, and participate in hiring and working groups.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend expertise in Python and GenAI.
• Proven experience delivering AI/ML or Generative AI systems in production environments.
• Familiarity with GenAI frameworks such as Langchain and agent development kits.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Terraform (infrastructure-as-code).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent databases.
• Ability to operate in client-facing environments and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
