Staff Machine Learning Engineer - Edge AI

Overview

Lead the design and implementation of AI product initiatives for edge devices, using large-scale operational data to develop and optimize machine learning solutions.

What you'll do

• Lead AI product initiatives on edge devices.
• Develop tactical AI solutions and longer-term research.
• Work with petabyte-scale text, transaction, diagnostic, sensor, camera, and location data.
• Partner across business units to prototype AI experiences.
• Optimize machine learning model performance on edge devices.
• Adopt relevant technologies from industry and academic research.
• Coach and mentor ML Engineers.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer.
• Profound experience optimizing ML models and systems for edge computing constraints.
• Proficiency coding in Python or a similar language.
• Experience coding in C++ or Rust.
• Strong knowledge of iterative machine learning product development.
• Experience developing and shipping production code at large scale.
• Ability to define clear problems from ambiguous customer and business requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience self-serving data for experiments and model training at scale.
• Successful high-impact AI deliveries.
• Deep knowledge of state-of-the-art computer vision and multimodal models.

Details

• Remote position for candidates residing in the United States.
• Travel required up to 5% of the time.
• Annual base salary: $178,640–$319,000 USD.
