- Lead technical direction across multiple teams and strategic initiatives.
- Design and govern scalable, cloud-native, distributed systems and platforms.
- Define architectural patterns, engineering standards, and reusable solutions.
- Drive design reviews, technology roadmaps, and architectural decision-making.
- Identify and address technical debt, scalability risks, operational challenges, and security concerns.
- Develop and support production-grade applications using Java (17+), Spring Boot, and/or Node.js with TypeScript.
- Design robust REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD), clean architecture, and modern engineering principles.
- Build highly available systems leveraging technologies such as Kafka, Redis Streams, SNS/SQS, and other messaging platforms.
- Champion quality through automated testing, performance engineering, and secure coding practices.
- Design and operate solutions on AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
- Leverage Kubernetes, Docker, and modern platform engineering practices to enable scalable and resilient services.
- Build reusable platform capabilities, self-service tooling, and developer-friendly engineering experiences.
- Apply Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices using Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, or FluxCD.
- Drive automation and continuous delivery practices across the software lifecycle.
- Establish observability through logging, metrics, tracing, and operational insights.
- Define and improve reliability measures including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Champion secure-by-design engineering, cloud security, API security, and DevSecOps practices.
- Lead incident investigations and transform learnings into lasting improvements.
- Set standards for architecture, maintainability, testing, performance, and security.
- Mentor senior engineers through technical reviews, coaching, and hands-on collaboration.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
- Contribute to technical strategy, communities of practice, and capability uplift across engineering teams.
