Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Staff Software Engineer working on complex distributed systems and automation services foundational to infrastructure reliability.

What you'll do

• Own features and services end to end from design through deployment and lifecycle support.
• Influence system architecture, API design, and technology choices for scalability, security, and resilience.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-volume, low-latency, highly available applications.
• Implement RESTful services and backend components using Python-based frameworks and integrate APIs.
• Build responsive production UI using Angular or React.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support production systems including incident resolution.
• Mentor engineers via design/code reviews and knowledge sharing.

What you'll need

• 5+ years relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree (or 2+ years with an advanced degree) OR 8+ years relevant experience.
• Hands-on full-stack experience including Python, REST APIs, JSON, Flask/RESTPlus.
• Frontend experience with JavaScript, HTML5, and Angular or React.
• Experience integrating internal and third-party APIs.
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and version control; Agile development practices.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and data security concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex production systems.
