Staff Software Engineer- BE

Overview

Staff Software Engineer (Backend) leading technical direction for major features or related systems at OneTrust. You will own design/architecture decisions, collaborate cross-team, and mentor engineers.

What you'll do

• Lead design and architecture for major features or components.
• Independently determine approach and methods for complex, ambiguous assignments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, Product, and UX to shape solutions before implementation.
• Establish and champion engineering best practices and quality standards.
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and support growth of technical judgment.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Track record leading technical initiatives spanning multiple engineers or systems.
• Deep expertise in frontend and/or backend technologies relevant to the platform, including cloud architecture experience.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Devin, Windsurf, or similar) in a professional setting.
