Strategic Sourcing Engineer

Overview

Strategic Sourcing Engineer in the Supply Chain Management team, providing procurement expertise for 11kV to 400kV substation and Offshore Wind tendering and projects.

What you'll do

• Execute SCM and procurement activities per SCM and company procedures.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers and subcontractors for sourcing needs.
• Support tendering and project execution by issuing RFQs via the eSourcing platform.
• Obtain and negotiate supplier pricing, deliveries, and commercial terms to enable compliant bids.
• Prepare price comparison tables and total cost overviews, including foreign exchange and transportation impacts.
• Negotiate Special Conditions of Purchase Orders and secure approvals per LOA protocols.
• Coordinate purchase-to-pay processing in Oracle ERP and review order acknowledgements for compliance.

What you'll need

• Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or a minimum CIPS qualification (or equivalent) with applicable experience, or 10+ years’ experience in lieu of qualification.
• Minimum 7+ years’ experience in lieu of qualification as an alternate option stated in the ad.
• Knowledge of transmission or distribution procurement/tendering activities (11kV to 400kV).
• Working knowledge of international procurement frameworks.
• Knowledge of the Oracle ERP system.
• Experience implementing new processes/tools/software and mentoring team members.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders and strong interpersonal skills.
