Senior Strategic sourcing engineer - Civil

Overview

Senior SCM Engineer focused on civil/subcontract procurement for 11kV–400kV substation and Offshore Wind tenders and projects.

What you'll do

• Execute strategic sourcing and procurement SCM activities for civil/subcontracts following SCM and company procedures.
• Identify, onboard, and manage new subcontractors using sourcing strategies and procedures.
• Coordinate with tendering and project execution teams on civil strategic sourcing.
• Issue RFQs on the Linxon procurement platform (SAP Ariba).
• Obtain and negotiate final prices, deliveries, and commercial terms to support compliant bids.
• Maintain raw materials price databases and prepare civil cost estimate templates.
• Negotiate and prepare subcontract agreements and obtain required approvals per LOA protocols.

What you'll need

• 10–15 years minimum civil engineering experience (in lieu of qualification).
• Knowledge of transmission/distribution subcontract activities (11kV to 400kV) in UK.
• Knowledge of industry standards and client working (as stated).
• Good knowledge of subcontract agreements.
• Working knowledge of international procurement frameworks.
• Experience with Oracle ERP system.
• Ability to implement new processes/tools/software and mentor other team members.

• Frequent travel may be required inside and outside the country.
