Summer Internship – Mechanical Engineering

Overview

A 10-week summer internship in mechanical engineering within bp Technical Solutions India's Pune centre, supporting oil and gas production and refining assets with equipment design, integrity, maintenance and reliability work.

What you'll do

• Support asset-specific equipment strategies, root cause failure analyses, condition monitoring and reliability programmes.
• Contribute to maintenance and performance optimisation and to technology readiness assessments for new equipment.
• Help ensure safe and reliable operations and maintain equipment integrity across the asset lifecycle.
• Participate in projects to meet quality, schedule and budget requirements.
• Work with mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, heaters, valves, vessels and piping.

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• A CGPA of at least 7.
• From the class of 2028.
• Eligible for a 10-week internship between May and July 2027.
• A willingness to learn, a passion to excel and deliver results.

Details

• Based in the Pune office.
• No travel expected.
• Not eligible for relocation assistance.
• Not available for remote working.
