Supervisor, Software Engineering (IN)

Overview

Technical Lead/Supervisor role in Software Engineering with a full-stack background, bridging client requirements to technical execution and leading delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead client interactions, gather and refine technical requirements, and convert them into engineering tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and dependent teams to ensure integration, alignment, and delivery.
• Spearhead technical design and architectural decisions for projects as needed.
• Monitor cloud application performance and work with infrastructure to suggest and implement improvements.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to engineers.
• Act as a hands-on IC implementing user stories, primarily with Node.js and GraphQL backends.
• Champion spec driven development and use AI tools (e.g., LLMs/code assistants) to accelerate workflows.
• Implement and monitor telemetry-based observability for system health, performance, and reliability.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of proven IT industry experience, including tech lead or similar leadership roles.
• Hands-on backend expertise in Node.js, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Hands-on proficiency with PostgreSQL for schema design, complex queries, indexing, and query optimization.
• Working knowledge of frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms and core services/deployment models.
• Hands-on containerization/orchestration experience with Docker Swarm and Kubernetes.
• Strong experience with Redis (in-memory data stores and caching).
• Familiarity with AI concepts and using AI tools for daily coding and architectural tasks.
