SW Test Engineer II

Overview

Software Test Automation Engineer responsible for designing, developing and maintaining automated test solutions in Python-based frameworks to ensure high software quality.

What you'll do

• Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python.
• Create and execute automated test scripts.
• Improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Analyse functional and technical requirements to create test designs and test cases.
• Perform manual testing (functional, regression, sanity, smoke) when required.
• Execute test cases and identify, document and track defects using tools like JIRA.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
• Provide timely status updates and test reports.
• Implement and follow QA processes, standards and methodologies.
• Ensure high quality, performance and reliability of applications.
• Perform root cause analysis for defects and recommend improvements.

What you'll need

• 3 years of experience in Python-based test automation frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Solid understanding of test case design techniques (boundary value, equivalence partitioning, etc.).
• Experience in functional testing, regression testing, integration testing and system testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.

• Location: India, Mumbai (BKC Building).
• Work shift: Standard.
• Significant work activities: continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day).
