Systems Operations Engineer - Dotnet/SQL server/Platform support

Overview

Wells Fargo is seeking a Systems Operations Engineer to support large-scale applications, systems, databases and technical products and services.

What you'll do

• Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and services
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans
• Review and analyze technical queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supporting low to medium risk technical deliverables
• Present recommendations for resolving complex technical queries
• Exercise some independent judgment to analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements while developing understanding of technical process controls or standards
• Work as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processes
• Provide information related to the supported system area to functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal customers
• Work on user tickets, perform application health checks, status reporting, work on user requests, improvement/automation and other BAU responsibilities
• Collaborate and follow up with development teams and other technology partner teams to restore applications from an outage (Incident Management) and perform Root Cause Analysis (Problem Management)
• Build SME knowledge from both domain and technology to achieve platform goals
• Ensure BCP readiness and backup/recovery implementation
• Be responsible for Change, Problem and Release Management

What you'll need

• 2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice to have

• University degree (B.E. / B.Tech / MCA) in Technology
• Hands on experience in MSBI, .NET, .NET Web services and SQL Server
• Hands on experience on Solace / MQ Messaging
• Exposure to App Dynamics, Grafana, Splunk, BMC Remedy, ITRS Geneos, Autosys, JIRA
• Prior experience of SRE framework, toil reduction, building SLOs and SLAs
• Exposure to Platform and Agile Framework
