Overview
Performance Test and Analysis Engineer responsible for validating, benchmarking, and optimizing performance across HPE Alletra Object and File Storage solutions.
What you'll do
- Design and execute performance validation and benchmark test plans.
- Define performance metrics, scalability targets, and release criteria.
- Analyze bottlenecks across compute, memory, storage, networking, operating system, and distributed software layers.
- Investigate root causes and partner with engineering teams to resolve performance issues.
- Drive workload characterization, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Develop automation, tooling, and analytics using Python and JavaScript.
- Provide performance insights and data-driven recommendations for product architecture.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in performance engineering, storage systems, distributed systems, or related areas.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex system performance issues.
- Deep knowledge of computer architecture, including CPU, memory hierarchy, NUMA, and I/O subsystems.
- Strong understanding of Linux and operating system internals.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience developing automation and performance analysis tools.
- Experience with benchmarking, profiling, workload modeling, and root-cause analysis.
