Sr QA Test Engineer

Overview

Sr QA Test Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality of enterprise applications through manual and automated testing across the SDLC.

What you'll do

• Own and execute manual and automated testing activities across the software development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain API and performance test scripts using JMeter.
• Analyze test and performance results, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis with development teams.
• Develop and maintain UI automation using Playwright with TypeScript for functional and regression testing.
• Review technical design documents and contribute QA perspectives on testability, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Estimate QA effort, create test plans/scenarios/test cases, and generate/maintain test data.
• Perform database validation using SQL and communicate release risks, quality concerns, and production-impacting issues.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional QA/Test Engineering experience with manual and automation testing.
• Hands-on API testing and performance testing using JMeter.
• Hands-on ability to develop, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot JMeter performance tests.
• Hands-on Playwright automation development using TypeScript.
• Experience designing and maintaining reusable automation frameworks and automated regression suites.
• Strong understanding of API testing (REST, HTTP methods, request/response validation, status codes, authentication, JSON/XML payloads).
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.

Nice to have

• Experience with SoapUI or similar API testing tools.
• Experience with web services and REST APIs; CI/CD pipeline integration of tests.
• Experience working with healthcare domain or offshore/distributed teams.
