Overview
Lead Threat Intelligence’s CBRN-E & Advanced Weapons team, building an investigative program to detect, investigate, and disrupt misuse of Anthropic’s AI systems for CBRN-E and advanced weapons development.
What you'll do
- Own strategy, priorities, and outcomes for the CBRN-E & Advanced Weapons mission area.
- Hire, manage, and develop investigators with deep domain expertise.
- Personally lead cases involving attempts to develop, enhance, or disseminate CBRN-E weapons or advanced weapons capabilities.
- Evolve detection from broad harm screens to CBRN-specific signals with threat-specific methodologies.
- Set the analytic quality bar using threat actor behavior, open-source research, and publicly reported weapons programs.
- Own escalation and enforcement decisions with policy and enforcement teams for highest-severity misuse.
- Lead external engagement with government and scientific stakeholders through reporting and briefings.
What you'll need
- Deep domain expertise in biosecurity, chemical defense, weapons non-proliferation, DURC, or related CBRN-E threat domains.
- Experience leading investigative or analytic teams with demonstrated mentorship and program-building.
- Experience with threat actor profiling, threat intelligence analysis frameworks, and collection frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with large language models and how AI could be misused for CBRN-E threats.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across researchers, policy experts, legal teams, government, and external partners.
- Ability to present analysis to technical and non-technical audiences, including government stakeholders and senior leadership.

- Weekend and holiday escalations may be required.
- Location-based hybrid policy: expected in office at least 25% of the time.
- Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
